Gifford House is your one stop, does-it-all container for any retreat, wedding, corporate event or whatever else you can dream up. The complex includes a large dining hall complete with a stage, a private bar, exterior patio all serviced by a large professional commercial kitchen to cater to your needs. Spill into our Love Lounge with its baby grand or rent out our lower level disco. Our Inn has 18 en-suite rooms year round and up to 33 in the summer months several of which are multi-room suites with the ultimate hilltop harbor views.

Explore the Town

All you need is your two feet or a bike. The entire town is less than about 2.5 miles wide and long at its widest points!

Pro-Tip:
Commercial Street is one way east for cars but two ways for pedestrians and bicyclists, so just always remember to look both ways frequently!

  • Cape Air provides daily round trip service from Boston’s Logan International Airport. It’s just a quick and scenic 20-minute flight to the Provincetown Airport (PVC).

    Jet Blue has some options from JFK.

  • Boston Harbor City Cruises
    Bay State Cruise Company

    Daily high-speed 90-minute services, round trip from Boston. The ferry service begins in May and runs through October.

    2o% discount to Gifford House guests on Boston Harbor City Cruises.

  • Enterprise rent-a-car is available at the Provincetown Airport. Uber is about $150 one way from BOS. Take 93S to 3S to Rt 6.

    Uber works great too.

    Drive from: Boston - 116 miles, 2.4 hours Providence - 120 miles, 2.5 hours Hartford - 205 miles, 3.5 hours New York City - 298 miles, 5 hours

  • The Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Co. offers daily round trip bus service from Boston’s South Station and the Hyannis transportation Center with connections to many other Regional bus routes throughout New England. You can take the Peter Pan line from Provincetown to Providence and NYC.

It’s a magnet for lovers of life, artsy types, gallery-goers, fun-seekers and known for its diverse and colorful culture.  It’s the place where you let your guard and your hair down (all the way). It’s filled with great food, fun boutiques, quirky shops, wonderful whales, carefree nightspots and amazing festivals and events.

There’s also a quieter more contemplative side: awesome beaches, spectacular sunsets, the National Seashore, whale Watch adventures, hikes in the dunes, bike riding through Beech Forest or, if you simply enjoy people watching Commercial Street is the best entertainment money can’t buy.
